A Haven of Hope serves as the primary sponsor and organizer of the 3rd Annual Pernell “Sweet Pea” Whitaker Get Fresh Back 2 School Festival, presented alongside community sponsors and partners.
The day runs from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Youngs Park Community Field, 543 E. Olney Rd, Norfolk, VA 23510, and pairs backpack and school-supply distribution with free uniforms while supplies last, community resource tables, food trucks, and family activities.

Contribute a backpack already packed with school supplies.

Notebooks, pencils, folders, glue, crayons, and other classroom basics.
Sponsor 10 backpacks
Underwrite a classroom-sized set of fully stocked backpacks.
Sponsor 25 backpacks
Cover supplies for a larger group of students.
Sponsor 50 backpacks
Anchor-level support for the distribution.
Make a monetary contribution
Any amount goes toward supplies, logistics, and day-of needs.
